Hydraujoint Home Page

On the 8th February I realized that http://hydraujoint com had been on the net for 1 entire year.

I first found this out by trying to post a news post to my blog. When i entered the site address I was redirected to a “This Page Is Parked Page”.

Turns out that the hosting fee was due.

We are back up and running now.

So to commemorate the year I would like to send out a special thank you to the sponsors and donors and all the individuals who have made this possible as they are all damn nice people and deserve some support themselves.

Hydraujoint was an idea that i came up with while lying in a hospital bed thinking if only i could exercise while i was lying here in my bed, then i wouldn’t have to go through all that physiotherapy again.

You can find this story by going through my blog roll in the side bar.

The project was moved to Australia in 2005 in order to conduct further clinical trials and more product development as I have many more designs of machines that will assist amputees to target specific muscle groups with or without their prosthetic limb in order to reduce the muscle dissipation of their residual limb, and of course New Zealand population is considered to small for these trials.

Unfortunately my then partner became terminally ill and I was forced to make a choice between dreaming of helping the world and the need to take care of my partner and family.

Somehow the tables turned and I found myself homeless and broke and unable to walk due to a worn prosthetic limb.

Through the support shown from the following people I was able to set up this website and share this information with millions of people and show the world that there is an alternative to medication that makes you forget your problems, or physiotherapy that costs $$$$thousands and requires weeks or even months of return visits.

I have been able to run this site from my home and survive in Australia even while house bound and while being refused assistance from the Australian Government as I am not classed as disabled.

I could not have done any of this without your support through kind words of encouragement or financial contributions, Thankyou

In no specific order.

Hydraujoint has existed since 2002 and has run solely as a charity to date it has never charged any patient or clinic any money ever.

All time involved in the running of this web site, the development, testing and production of the Limbar has been donated by those involved many of whom have had to overcome their own personal crisis while giving all to help others. See the testimonials page of the site for more information about some of these amazing people.

Many more people have put in time and effort over the last 8 years and together we have reached millions of people.

I have been able to compile information that has changed the way physiotherapists treat patients, through our release of literature reviews (Showing the need for exercise for amputees) through to our development of products and our sharing of the everyday news and events around the world.

As I am no longer in a position to give these machines away these machines can only be purchased by individuals for use in their home.

They need to be available to the public in public places so that everyone can have access to what they need in order to maintain mobility.

But in order to do this there is certain paper work and fees that must be paid to certain organizations to make it all legal. I will be applying for these for some countries later in the year.

Any agency or individual wishing to know more can contact me through the contact page and i will update you on progress and availability in your country I respond to all inquiries.
